Retrospective Wi-Fi Analysis
Allegro Packets’ troubleshooting appliances are diagnostic tools for network analysis. They are deployed by network administrators around the world to analyse network traffic in real-time, whether the event to be analysed is current or in the past. They provide high granularity and detailed analysis. As a result, network problems, performance bottlenecks and packet losses can be quickly identified.
Ultraportable models of the Allegro Network Multimeters are small, lightweight and do not need to be configured. Analysis data is accessed via our web interface in a browser which means network problems can be detected within a few clicks. Problem areas or errors can be isolated and pcaps can be captured from pre-selected network traffic for further analysis.
Using 4th generation capture analysis enables users to see the issues immediately rather than waiting for an extraction. Wi-Fi connectivity provides actionable insights for Wi-Fi analysis and troubleshooting, including real-time Wi-Fi traffic decryption and display from L2-L7 down to connection level for encryption up to WPA2-PSK.
Wi-Fi connectivity means no taps or opening of span ports with the admin this requires.
ALLEGRO NETWORK MULTIMETER PORTABLE UNITS
Allegro Network Multimeter 500
The Allegro 500 is a fully integrated hardware platform optimised for the analysis, monitoring and troubleshooting of 1 to 4 GBit/s connections. It is the ideal device for offices and small data centres.
Weighing less than one kilogram, the portable Allegro 500 is recommended for networks with approximately 100 active endpoints with Gigabit cabling. It allows you to monitor the last 20,000 viewed IP addresses and more than 1 million connections for retroactive debugging and investigation.
With the Allegro 500, Allegro Packets offers a compact appliance with an integrated management port and SSD. It is available in two different configurations – M and L. The Allegro 500-M has a 4 GB in-memory DB and a 500 GB SSD; the Allegro L has an 8 GB in-memory DB and a 1 TB SSD. The Allegro 500 series supports 4 x 1Gigabit ports.
The Allegro 500 operates silently (without moving parts such as fans, HDDs, etc) and is passively cooled.

Allegro Network Multimeter 1000
The Allegro 1000 is a cost-efficient entry-level version for 1 GBit/s to 10 GBit/s analysis of up to 10,000 servers. This network tool provides a highly accurate analysis of an entire location, and depending on the existing network traffic offers complete analysis of all data from several days, which can be retrieved in real-time from the in-memory database. The Allegro 1000 can be expanded with SFP+ ports, packet ring buffers and additional in-memory database storage. The SFP+ ports allow an analysis of both short and long-range fibre connections. The Allegro 1000 can also be transparently installed inline in Spanning Tree or LACP trunks to analyse port extension errors.
The Allegro 1000 is designed as a portable system and therefore has only one expansion slot for either extended network ports or for a large internal hard disk. The appliance can be equipped with a high-speed NVMe SSD as ring buffer which allows a continuous write speed of up to 10 GBit/s. Historical data traffic stored in the ring buffer can be extracted in PCAP format and further processed with Wireshark (for example).
